Launch or
disable the screen saver from System Tray

Many times the
screen saver is used as an automatic security guard, preventing
intruders to gain access to the system. This is usually done by
configuring its activation with a short delay and setting up a
password to return to normal operation.
This approach can
be very useful under certain circumstances, but sometimes the user
is still in front of his computer without keyboard or mouse
activities: A long file download from Internet or a complicated
program routine can take enough time to launch the screen saver,
disturbing the user attention and bothering him. Furthermore,
resource-consuming screen savers can slow down important tasks or
abort CD recording processes.
The Screen Saver
Control is an utility designed to control the screen saver.
A new icon is added to the system tray (near the clock), and you can
launch it manually or disable its automatic activation. Includes
install & uninstall facility, and supports command-line switches for
unattended operation.
